Busy Weekend

First of all, IF anyone reads this, could someone let me know if the title is showing up? It should read _Chasing Plastic_ (see previous post), but every time I look at it, all I see is the first word. When I go back to edit, it says it's there. Most likely I'm doing something wrong, considering how technologically-impaired I am. Please advise.

Anyway... Busy, busy weekend. Eric and I will be spending our second night apart since we've been married. He and other guys from church are camping out in Ashville, AL (south of Gadsden, north of Birmingham) to help with the tornado clean-up efforts. I'm so proud of him. He's giving up his entire weekend to spend it out in the heat helping people clean. I can only imagine how tiring and exhausting it must be.

But you know what they say... the women will play while the men are away (er... something like that). I got to go see my future sister-in-law up in Birmingham for her bridal shower. It was a nice get away to do something girly. Plus, we got to sit and talk for about an hour and it was good to chat. Fortunately, they'll be so close that we can get together often.

Eric just called. All is well with him. As it turns out, Cameron McEwen invited him and a couple others to stay at his in-laws. Ironically enough, that was where I was this morning for Victoria's shower. Eric said he walked in and there were pictures of Victoria and Mathew on the walls. Oh, the irony.
